Java Developer

What you do
- You are part of a multidisciplinary development team of Back-end and Front-end Developers and UX designers.
- Together with your team you work on the realization of new functionalities.
- You write Java code for mission critical applications used by, for instance, traffic control centers.
- Your work mainly concerns in-house programming.
- You improve the quality of the code and ensure a manageable architecture.
- Together with our UX designers, you coordinate the desired functionality. Where after you design and deliver the technical solution.
- You are present and provide input for tests and demo sessions with the customer.
- The result? A high-tech end product is to the satisfaction of the customer and of which you are proud!

- You are smart and can demonstrate this (with, for instance, an HBO / WO diploma).
- A well-structured approach and working method.
- You care about code quality.
- You have good communication skills and can clearly state what you mean.
- You bring energy and are able to motivate the people in your team.

- You are prepared to step out of your comfort zone (and grow).
- Knowledge and experience with:
programs such as Java, Eclipse and / or Netbeans,
databases such as MySQL, Postgres or Oracle and
application servers such as Tomcat and / or JBoss.
- Proud of the products you deliver.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English (Dutch is a plus).
- Available for 32 - 40 hours per week.
Nice to have
- Work experience as a Java developer.
- Affinity with the world of Smart mobility.
- Experience with the frameworks and techniques: Hibernate, Maven, Spring, Seam, GWT, JUnit, RichFaces, Sonar, REST, SOAP, HTML, XML and AJAX.
- Knowledge / experience with the Agile / scrum philosophy.
